Ambassador Bouguerra hosts the Mayor of El-Kader City, Iowa, Honorable Josh R. Pope

On December 14th, 2017, Ambassador Madjid Bouguerra hosted at his office the Mayor of El-Kader City, Honorable Josh R. Pope.

Ambassador Bouguerra and Mayor Pope highlighted at this occasion the special relations built between Algeria and the US as well as between the 33-year sister Cites El-Kader, Iowa, and Mascara, Algeria.

They discussed the ways and means to enhance and intensify the partnership that exists between the two sister cities and to extend it to other sectors. To that purpose, Ambassador Bouguerra and Mayor Pope expressed their entire disposal to push forward the economical, commercial, educational and cultural ties between the two cities.

Mayor Pope bestowed, the same day, Ambassador Bouguerra an honorary citizenship of the El-Kader City, during the ceremony where Ambassador Bouguerra was offered “Ambassador of the Year-2017Award” from the National US-Arab-Chamber of Commerce.
