The Algerian-American Foundation AAF-CEST organizes in July a summer university in Algeria
The Algerian-American Foundation for Culture, Education, Science and Technology (AAF-CEST) is organizing a summer university in Algiers and Batna from 8 to 19 July, 2018, for doctoral students from all over the national territory, said Tuesday its president Professor Taha Merghoub.
The "AAF Summer University 2018" will be held successively from July 8 to 14 in Algiers and from July 15 to 19 in Batna.
It will focus on several varied themes such as smart grids, biology, biotechnology, oncology and civil engineering.
The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Directorate General of Scientific Research and Technological Development and will also be organized in collaboration with Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology (USTHB) in Algiers and Mustapha Benboulaïd University (Batna2) in Batna.
Professor Merghoub, also an associate member of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States, stresses that the aim of the "AAF Summer University 2018" is to share the experience and scientific expertise gained abroad with the scientific community in Algeria.
It is also a question of establishing a link between students in Algeria and the Algerian scientific community based in Algeria and abroad and to develop a network between these professionals.
This inclusive approach also aims to promote the future generation of Algerian scientists, to create opportunities for collaboration and also to develop opportunities for hosting abroad by building real bridges, based on concrete actions, explains this Algerian scientist who runs a database in New York for the melanoma and immunotherapy service.
