BATNA- The play "Yema n Dzaïr" (My mother Algeria) by the cultural association Ithrène Takerdousset from Bouira won the prize for the best show of the 11th National Amazigh Theatre Festival, which wrapped up Tuesday evening at the regional theatre of Batna.
This play deals with the sad story of a mother who devotes her life to her son who is sucked, once adult, into the throes of crime and ended up in the prison. The prize awarding ceremony of this festival, which kicked off on February 3rd, was held in a festive atmosphere in the presence of families.
The prize of the best director was given to Massinissa Hadbi for his play "Ettabek Essabaâ" (The seventh floor) by the regional theatre of Tizi Ouzou and that of the best actor went to Malek Fellag who performed in this same play.
A total of 16 companies from various localities of the country, including those of the regional theatres of Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Oum El Bouaghi and the Algerian National Theatre (TNA), participated in this Festival which was marked notably by the holding of a conference on the theatre as a space of communication and fraternity.
