Algeria, Spain agree to raise economic partnership

ALGIERS- Algerian-Spanish business forum opened Tuesday, in Algiers, under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Industry and Mining Youcef Yousfi and Spanish Secretary of State for Trade Maria Luisa Poncela.
Held on the sidelines of the seventh Algerian-Spanish High-Level Bilateral Meeting, the business forum has brought together nearly 700 Algerian and Spanish participants. The participants in the business event are representatives of institutional bodies, financial institutions and economic operators in various sectors.
The forum will provide an opportunity for Algerian and Spanish businessmen and economic operators to step up economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Spanish premier, Mariano Rajoy Brey, started Tuesday a visit to Algeria at the invitation of Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, to take part in the seventh Algerian-Spanish High-Level Bilateral Meeting. Several agreements are due to be concluded between Algeria and Spain.
