ABIDJAN-President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Brahim Ghali on Wednesday “warmly thanked” African countries, notably Algeria, which backed SADR’s participation in the African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Summit taking place in the Ivorian capital.
“I warmly thank the countries that backed and militated for SADR’s participation in the Summit, headed by Algeria,” Ghali told the press on the sidelines of the Summit.
“The support of these countries has been unanimously adopted by the AU as all member countries of the Union attend the summits and other meeting initiated by the Union and other international and regional organizations,” said Ghali.
“I will never stop emphasizing the active role of the countries that helped us, particularly Algeria, South Africa, Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania and other countries, which supported and approved the decision taken by the AU on the participation of all state members in all the events attended by the Union,” he stated.
