Over 200 participants at International Water, Environment Exhibition of Algiers

ALGIERS- The 13th International Exhibition of Equipment, Technologies and Services of Water and Environment (SIEE Pollutec) kicked off Monday at the Exhibition Centre, in Algiers, with the participation of more than 200 national and foreign exhibitors.
This four-day economic event was inaugurated by Minister of Water Resources and Environment Abdelkader Ouali who insisted on the need to reach a high rate of integration into the activities relating to equipment and infrastructures and also on the development of investment.
The minister said that the “public and private national investment will allow setting up an industrial platform serving the projects that we need in order to reduce import bill.”
He pointed out that the public authorities’ efforts in the environmental field which allowed notably increasing the number of water purification plants to 177 at the national level, underscoring that the tenders launched in this regard will benefit the local producers of equipment having achieved a high rate of integration.
A total of 17 countries will take part in this exhibition, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Hungary.
