Sellal chairs opening of national conference on micro-enterprises

ALGIERS- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal chaired Sunday, at the Ain Benian Higher Institute for Hotel Management (Algiers), the opening of the first national conference on micro-enterprises in the presence of the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) Abdelmadjid Sidi Saïd and members of the government.
More than 1000 entrepreneurs who came from various regions of the country take part in this conference organized by the National Federation of Young Entrepreneurs under the high patronage of the president of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The State “will continue to bring its help to project holders and to strengthen the capacities of small enterprises, particularly those operating in the sectors of high added values such as information technologies and communication, the engineering industry and food-processing,” said Sellal in his speech at the opening of the conference held under the slogan “Small Enterprises, a Tool for The Diversification and Development of National Economy.”
He added, in this regard, that “qualitative focus was noted on tertiary and industrial projects, after the funding of non-productive activities stopped,” underlining that President Bouteflika “has always called on youth to work for the development and promotion of national economy.”
At the opening of the conference, a documentary film on the various steps of the policy initiated by the President of the Republic regarding the care of youth and their promotion was screened.
On this occasion, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was decorated by the National Federation of Young Entrepreneurs in recognition of his efforts made for this fringe of society.
