Social justice, one of main conditions to achieve economic efficiency

DJELFA- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Monday in Djelfa that the social justice was one of the main conditions to achieve economic ´┐Żefficiency. This urged the State to continue its efforts in the social segment and maintain the programmes of local development, despite the uncomfortable financial position.

"The experience of several countries in the world has shown that social justice is not an obstacle to economic efficiency but one of its main conditions.

The development of regions is the driving force of competitiveness," said Sellal during his meeting with local authorities and representatives of civil society at the end of his visit to Djelfa.

The Prime Minister recalled that, despite a difficult economic situation, the State had pursued its social policy and the development programmes in different sectors, while ensuring to rationalize the expenses."

He added that the programmes destined to the South and the High Plateaus, like Djelfa, constituted a national instrument to achieve the social justice, reaffirming the State determination to pursue such programmes and enhance them over the coming years, taking into account past experience and privileging the essential needs of the citizens.
