WASHINGTON- Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane met on Tuesday, in Washington, with American businessmen, on the sidelines of his participation in the US-Africa Summit, in his capacity as representative of president of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The meeting, held in the presence of members of the Algerian-American Business Council, enabled examining investment opportunities in Algeria, notably as part of the new law on investment which is meant to be a solid foundation to diversify the national economy and attract wealth and job-generating foreign investments.
The political will of the country's top authorities was also emphasized, a willingness aimed to liberate initiatives and encourage entrepreneurship in order to diversify the non-hydrocarbon national economy.
In this regard, Benabderrahmane made an address in which he underlined that these meetings come "to implement the instructions of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the strengthening of the relations and cooperation with Algeria's partners, notably the USA," a country with which "Algeria shares a common political will that must be exploited in order to develop the economic aspect of the Algerian-American relations."
