Algeria follows with great concern situation in Lebanon

ALGIERS- Algeria on Friday expressed great concern about the situation in the brother country Lebanon and voiced deep regret for the incidents that occurred in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and which resulted in casualties, the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said in a statement.

"Algeria is following with great concern the situation in brother Lebanon and expresses its deep regret after the incidents that occurred in the capital Beirut, and which resulted in casualties," the statement said.

"Algeria calls on all Lebanese parties to show responsibility and wisdom to preserve the unity of the Lebanese people."

It insists on "the imperative to ensure the functioning of State institutions and to respond to the aspirations of citizens for a dignified life," the statement concluded.
