Lamamra received, in New York, by chairman of Libya's Presidential Council

NEW YORK- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra was received, in New York, by the chairman of Libya's Presidential Council Mohamed Younes El-Menfi.

"I was received by the chairman of Libya's Presidential Council Mohamed Younes El-Menfi to whom I reiterated Algeria's solidarity and its ongoing support to the brotherly Libyan people for the achievement of the priorities of current stage as reaffirmed several times by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, notably concerning the achievement of inclusive national reconciliation that will turn the page of disagreements," tweeted Lamamra.

The meeting was also an opportunity to "review the privileged historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples. The two sides welcomed the positive pace characterizing these relations and continued dialogue and coordination on the different regional and international issues of common interest."

The chairman of Libya's Presidential Council asked Lamamra to convey "his greetings and esteem to President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune for Algeria's unremitting efforts for the establishment of security and stability in Libya."

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the participation of Algerian Foreign minister in the works of the 76th UN General Assembly which will continue until 27 September in New York.
