Hassi Messaoud new town: Call for investors launched

ALGIERS – A call for public and private investors and real estate developers interested by land concession in the new town of Hassi Messaoud and its Logistics Activity Zone for the execution and the exploitation of investment projects.
Launched by the Energy Ministry and the Establishment of the Hassi Messaoud new town, this call says that for the new town's main district, the investment projects cover a shopping mall, hotels, a medina, administrative offices and real estate development (collective, semi-collective, individual and mixed housing).
Concerning the priority area of the Logistics Activity Zone, the investment projects concern the sectors of logistics, handling and storage, transport and related services, renewable energy, pharmaceutical industry, food processing, building materials, chemistry, cosmetics and hygiene, electronics, electricity and household appliances as well as wood, paperboard and printing.
They also include the sectors of IT and telecommunications, trade and distribution, metallurgy and metal work, textile, clothing and footwear, machinery and automotive equipment, plastic and rubber, services and companies, research centers and development and also crafts.
Designed to accommodate a population of 80,000, the new city of Hassi Messaoud location is equidistant between (80 km) Ouargla, Touggourt and Hassi Messaoud.
