St Petersburg Metro attack: Algeria condemns in strongest terms

ALGIERS- Algeria has condemned in the strongest terms the attack on the Saint Petersburg Metro on Monday, and expressed its solidarity with the people and the government of Russia, said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif.
"The terrible tragedy that hit today the city of Saint Petersburg in Russia, following the deadly blast on a metro train in which many innocent citizens were killed, shocked us," he said.
According to Russian authorities, the "appalling attack was criminal and terrorist, and we condemn in the strongest terms whoever might be its perpetrators," Benali Cherif told APS.
"We extend our deep condolences to the families of the victims and we express our solidarity with the friendly people of Russia and their government," he added.
