ADDIS ABABA- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune took part Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in a meeting held behind closed doors bringing together African Union's heads of State and Government, preceding the 33rd ordinary session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government (AU-AHSG).
The African leaders mainly discussed strategic issues on the AU Summit's agenda, including the structural reform, the inter-African integration process and African Union's financing. They also tackled the election of AU conference's office and the African Union's chairman for 2021.
The 33rdordinary session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government (AU-AHSG) will evolve around the theme "Silencing the Guns: Creating Conducive Conditions for Africa's Development." After his arrival in the Ethiopian capital, Saturday, President Tebboune held talks with President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi of Egypt. The head of State also discussed with South African leader, Cyril Ramaphosa.
