Rio 2016 Paralympics/Athletics: Algeria wins two new medals, including one silver

RIO DE JANEIRO-Algeria won two new medals including one silver on the 3rd day of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games held between 7 and 18 September in Rio.
Kamel Kardjena seized the title of Paralympics vice-champion at the shot put competition, 33F category, with a throwing measuring 10,94m that he succeeded to achieve from his first attempt. German Daniel Scheil (11,03m) won the gold medal while the bronze one was awarded to Saudi Hani Alnakhli (8,99m).
For her part, thrower Nadia Medjmedj (F56) snatched the bronze medal of javelin (F55/56), her second one after that of Shot. With a throwing measuring 20,24m (new African record), Medjmedj won the competition despite a shoulder injury that has plagued her for several months.
