CAIRO (Egypt)- Algerian men's badminton team dominated their Ugandan counterparts winning the game 5-0 on the second day (team events) of the African championships Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt.
It is the second win of the Algerian players after Monday's, against the Tunisians, by the same score (5-0).
Algeria's third and ultimate match in the pool stage will be against Mauritius.
In its second match in the pool stage, Mauritius beat Tunisia (5-0). Its first win was against Uganda (5-0) on Monday.
Algeria vs Mauritius game will be crucial as it will determine the leader of group.
In women's events, the Algerians beat the Mauritians (3-2) on Tuesday, after they lost to Egypt, the day before, by the same score.
Algerian women's team will play South Africa on Wednesday, their ultimate match in the first round.
Algeria is competing in the Africa's senior men and women championship (February 10-16) with the ambition of keeping its title in double men events and booking a spot in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
