Deaflympics 2022: Algeria snatches two bronze medals

CAXIA DO SOL (Brazil)-Algerian athletes Hadj Kerrah (karate) and Yousra Bensalah (judo) won two bronze medals at the 24th Deaflympics held in Caxia Do Sol, Brazil (May 1-15).

In the 84 kg category, the karateka Kerah won the bronze, as well as Yousra Bensalah who also snatched the bronze medal in judo.

In addition, the karatekas Youcef Hassani (-75 kg) and Mohamed Larbi (-67 kg) qualified for the final of their respective categories.

Algeria takes part in the 24th Deaflympics with a staff of 12 athletes representing the sporting disciplines of athletics, judo and karate, coached by Tahar Salhi (athletics), Oulhadj Ouidir (judo) and Zaidi Idiri (Karate).
