Coronavirus: 285 new cases, 189 recoveries and seven deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 285 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, 189 recoveries and seven deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, announced Wednesday the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform.

The total number of confirmed cases has reached 127,646, including 285 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, that of deaths 3,440 cases while the number of recovered patients has reached 88,861, said the source.

However, 19 patients are currently under intensive care, said the source.

A total of 17 provinces haven't recorded any cases in the last 24 hours, 19 others recorded between 1 and 9 cases while 12 provinces recorded more than 10 cases, according to the source.

The ministry underlined that the current epidemiological situation requires from all citizens vigilance and respect of the hygiene rules and physical distancing, stressing the obligation of wearing masks and respecting the lockdown.
