Coronavirus: 692 new cases, 402 recoveries and eleven deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 692 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 402 recoveries and eleven deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the Ministry of Health said Monday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 226.749, the number of deaths to 6.423 and that of recovered patients to 155.192, the statement said.

In addition, 40 patients are currently under intensive care, according to the statement.

A total of 17 provinces didn't record any cases in the last 24 hours, 16 others recorded between 1 and 9 cases while 15 provinces have recorded more than 10 cases, according to the source.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing, while insisting on the obligation of wearing masks.
