Coronavirus: Five new cases, no death in last 24 hours

ALGIERS- Five new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), four recoveries but no death cases have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 265,860, the number of deaths (6875) remains unchanged while that of recovered patients stands at 178,397 cases, the statement said.

No patient is under intensive care, according to the statement, which added that 45 provinces have reported no cases while three recorded between one and nine.

The ministry stresses the need to maintain vigilance, abide by the rules of hygiene and physical distancing and to keep wearing masks.
