Covid-19: Epidemiological situation in Algeria is "stable," "under control"

ALGIERS - The epidemiological situation relating to the coronavirus is "stable" and "under control" in Algeria, said Wednesday in Algiers, Head of the Chinese medical experts' team fighting against covid-19, Zhou Lin, who stressed, however, the importance of respecting prevention measures.

"The epidemiological situation is stable and under control thanks to the measures taken in particular by the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and the Scientific Committee for Monitoring the Evolution of the Coronavirus Pandemic," Zhou Lin said at a press conference held on the eve of the departure of the Chinese team of 20 experts, which has been in Algeria since 14 May.

He stressed, however, the need to continue to respect prevention measures against the coronavirus, particularly hygiene conditions and social distancing.
