Visual artist El Bahi Belkheiri exhibits in Algiers

ALGIERS- "El Bahi at the Heart of Africa," an exhibition of contemporary works by painter El Bahi Belkheiri and dedicated to Africa, was inaugurated Thursday at Ifru Design Gallery in Algiers.

Organized to mark the World Day of African Culture, celebrated on January 24th, the exhibition will run until February 10th at the gallery "Ifru Design," in Algiers.

A dozen untitled canvases of different formats, the result of a highly aesthetic work, carried out in a technique called mixed with acrylic and oil, pleads for Africa.

"Continent of all fantasies," restoring various emotions conveyed by eyes and varied moods by faces.

Characters of women and men express strong emotions in connection with the African tradition and culture, but also and above all, the concerns and expectations of the peoples of this great continent.
