CAIRO (Egypt)- The Algerian men's U-23 and elite teams on Sunday won three new medals, including one gold, in the road race event of Sharm El Sheikh, as part of the Africa Road Championship, organized from 22 to 27 March in Egypt.
The young cyclist Hamza Amari grabbed the gold medal in the U-23 category and the bronze medal in the Elite category.
The silver medal was harvested by Mohamed Amine Nehari in the U-23 road race event.
Earlier in the morning, their compatriot Nesrine Houili won the gold medal of the U-23 road race event, her third gold medal in this competition, after those snatched in the Elite and U23 individual time trial events.
Algeria finishes with a total of nine medals: 4 gold, 2 silver and three bronze.
