CAIRO- The Algerian wheelchair powerlifting team grabbed 42 medals, including 16 gold, at the end of the third day of the Africa Championship, held in the Egyptian capital Cairo (27-31 October).
On the third day, the Algerian team harvested 14 new medals (4 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze), thanks to Djilali Cheboub (2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze), Nacera- Mohamed Merar (2 gold, 2 bronze) and Hadj Ali-Mohamed with three silver and one bronze medals.
The Algerian wheelchair powerlifting team won 28 medals, including 12 gold, on the first two days of the African meeting of Cairo.
On the first day of the competition, Algeria won 15 medals, including six gold, thanks to Ahmed Hadja Bayour (2 gold, 2 silver), Khodja Amine (4 gold), Khodja Amine (1 silver, 2 bronze), Kheireddine Ababsa (2 bronze), Mohamed-Said Aouiche (1 bronze) and Sofiane Belkiour (1 bronze).
